Satellite Trajectories

This interactive, three-dimensional diagram shows the path of the GPS satellite orbits at specific times.

The coordinate origin represents the center of the earth. The z-axis points to the north pole. The x-axis crosses the equator at the zero meridian (Earth-Centered, Earth-Fixed coordinate system). Coordinates in km.

By moving the mouse pointer, the trajectory can be viewed from different sides.

You can select multiple satellites with Ctrl+Click.

Times in UTC. To convert to Central European Summer Time, you have to add two hours. For Central European Time (in winter) add one hour.
